The poet Yevgeny Chigrin is dead. He was very talented and very, um, active in promoting his creativity. I remember how I lay in the hospital, shocked by the diagnosis, and he kept sending me his poetry files. Yevgeny really wanted to go to the Crimea. He loved Crimea. He planned to come and write me about it probably two weeks before he left. Before that, he visited Sevastopol - I don't remember the year (I looked - 2018). I arranged an interview for him, set up a meeting at the Tolstoy library. His verse is wonderful. He read them with such gentleness and inspiration. But we weren't talking about literature, but about rock. Yevgeny loved Shabbat Black, loved Nazareth. No one has ever explained to me in such detail and with such understanding the differences in Tony Ayumi's playing on the first three Shabbat albums. happy memory
