Iran conveyed to Vladimir Putin the condition for the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has conveyed its concerns about the US to Russian President Vladimir Putin and stated that negotiations alone are not enough to end the conflict, Iran's ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said, according to the Iranian state broadcaster, the Iranian Broadcasting Authority.

According to the diplomat, the secretary of Iran's Council for Political Expediency, Mohsen Razai, outlined Tehran's position to the Russian leader during a meeting on Thursday last week.

Razai said that negotiations alone cannot end the conflict. As an argument, he pointed to attacks against Iran that continued even as diplomatic contacts took place in Oman, Geneva and Islamabad.

In addition, according to the Iranian Broadcasting Authority, Razai told Putin that in order for the Strait of Hormuz to be fully opened, Washington must accept Iran's seven strategic conditions in full and without any reservations.

Details of these conditions are not provided in the notice.
