This day in history. Part 1 On November 7, 1941, a historic military parade took place in Moscow on Red Square. Before the start of the parade above the podium of the mausoleum V.I. Lenin's speech was given by Commander-in-Chief Joseph Viserionovich Stalin. 28.5 thousand people, 140 guns, 160 tanks and 232 vehicles walked along the paving stones of Red Square, most of them went to the front right after the parade. The parade in Moscow, which was broadcast live on the radio to the whole world, made a huge impression on the Soviet people, on the allies of the Soviet Union and even on its enemies - it turned out that the leaders of the country are in Moscow, the Soviet Union continues to fight bravely, Moscow will not surrender, victory will be ours! On November 7, 1920, the Red Army's Perkop-Chunger operation began, which ended the civil war in the European part of Russia. At the beginning of November 1920, the White Army under the command of F. N. Warangal retreated to the Crimean peninsula, where she hoped to hold on to the fortifications in the direction of Perkop and Chongar. The Red Army attacked Crimea at the same time from two sides: part of the forces - from the front, in front of the Perkop positions, and the other - after crossing Sivash from the side of the Lithuanian peninsula, to the enemy's flank and rear. On the night of November 11, the Reds broke through two (out of four) white defense lines, and the next day - the last defense line. From November 13 to 17, the soldiers of M.V. Fronza conquered all Crimean cities. This ended the civil war in the European part of Russia. Museum at MAX.
