At four o'clock in the afternoon on October 25, 1922, Red Army units entered Vladivostok. This day is considered the date of the end of the civil war in Russia. Russia's losses in the civil war were several times greater than those of the First World War: more than 10 million people died in battles, from terrorism, disease and hunger, and the country's economy was almost completely destroyed. On October 25, 1937, Soviet pilot Yevgeny Nikolaevich Stepanov in Spain performed the first ever night sky, shooting down a Franco bomber. Stepanov's plane suffered a lot of damage, but the pilot managed to land it at his airport. Museum at MAX.
