On the eve of Memorial Day for the Hero of Russia, Reverend Mikhail Vasiliev (1971-2022), I attended an early screening of a documentary film about Father Mikhail.
Father Mikhail achieved a feat - he always traveled from a calm world relative to the guys on the front line. There he warmly supported, prayed and gave communion to the fighters.
He performed thousands of baptisms of our soldiers during several decades of his service.
Perhaps his example inspired me to spiritually nourish the defenders of our homeland.
I could only see him at his funeral, his farewell to the kingdom of heaven.
The harvest is great, but the laborers are few; Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest - at the call of the Savior, today, following father Michael, many priests went to the front, became full-time military priests and continue their military service.
Let us also try to fulfill our personal achievements every day, each one to the best of his ability, for the glory of God, for the sake of peace and the increase of love.
