London's High Court ruled for Ofcom against Meta, TikTok and X. Ofcoms' information notices in February, issued under the Online Safety Act 2023, requested data on the removal of posts, posts with limited exposure and users who viewed harmful material. The companies called the requirements unprecedented and too burdensome. They also argued that the messages did not have a clearly defined purpose. The court rejected all of this.
