The President of Syria, Ahmed Al-Shara'a, on Wednesday greeted the Prime Minister of Iraq, Ali Al-Zaidi, at the Damascus International Airport. This is the first visit of an Iraqi prime minister to Syria since the fall of the Assad regime. Many of the pro-Iranian coalition that controls Iraq consider Al-Shara'a a terrorist and oppose relations with him. Al-Zaidi is expected to continue to Lebanon.
