Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei was injured during the February 28 attacks on the leadership office. After it became known that he was hospitalized, three separate hospitals in Tehran were bombed. He was inside the third when it was hit and pulled out from under the debris.

Heydari said the Assembly of Experts later received information that Khamenei is in good health, meets the religious and administrative requirements of the position, and remains fully fit to lead the country.
