Italy approved new school rules banning burqas and piercings in classrooms and capping students with weak Italian at a rate of 30% per class. Hijab is still allowed. Schools that ignore the quota face fines of up to €1,000. Prime Minister Georgia Maloney said the order was intended to strengthen integration and avoid "ghetto classes".
