Sweden on Wednesday expelled an employee of the Iranian embassy and summoned Tehran's ambassador, citing threats to Jewish and Israeli interests in the country.

Justice Minister Gunnar Stromer: "We know that Iran, for a long period of time, has conducted activities that threaten security in and against Sweden, aimed both at individuals who oppose the Iranian regime and at various Jewish and Israeli interests in our country."
