The US and Saudi Arabia are planning to expand the southern shipping lane through the Strait of Hormuz to deal with the closure of the Bab al-Mandab Strait by the Houthis. According to "Israel Today", citing regional diplomatic sources, the move was one of the agreements reached in a meeting between CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
