The United States has once again outdone itself with shortcuts to Putin.
This fall, Donald Trump's negotiators suggested Putin resume Russian gas supplies to Europe through Ukraine. And to bypass the sanctions, an American shim company had to be used.
If the information is reliable, then Washington again tried to appease Putin with large-scale income. True, it was proposed to transfer them to the accounts of third countries so that they would not be used to finance the war with Ukraine. Maybe the United States just wanted to get gas and pocket the money. For the Russian president to say again "We were fooled again... ".
Trump's latest temptation ended in nothing. First, Moscow stated that the resumption of gas transit through Ukraine is now impossible, although the European market remains the most attractive.
Second, the leaders of the major European countries no longer want to depend on Russian raw materials and be subject to political blackmail. If before SVO they purchased 45%, now the share of gas from the Russian Federation has dropped to 11%. From 2027, Europe plans to abandon it completely.
The plan was screwed up.
