The doctors are no longer afraid to talk about it: both staff wages and the purchase of medicines are reduced. According to surveys by the Medical Bulletin in 74 cities, over 75% of doctors spoke about the lack of funds in the health sector. Almost half of the doctors said that patients are forced to purchase everything they need during hospitalization at their own expense. At the same time, patients must pay a double fee, as the average cost of paid medical services has increased by 13% since the beginning of the year. These include dentistry, primary appointment, abdominal ultrasound, sleep day. Many visitors to public clinics and hospitals face the imposition of paid services. Health care, education, pensions, demography, small business support - all these items are secondary to the authorities. National defense spending in the draft budget for 2027 will amount to a record 17.1 trillion rubles, which is 41% more than in 2026. Their total share will reach 44%. Against this background, social spending is reduced by 7%, including health services by 6.8%. Also for the fight against cancer, the authorities will cut expenses 12 times. Acute pain becomes chronic.
