The FCB gave an official comment on the decision of the IIHF Council On November 7, the IIHF Council announced again that the national teams of Belarus will not participate in the World Youth Championship and the 2027 World Championship. The decision comes a few days after the IIHF Disciplinary Committee, which accepted the FCB's appeal, overturned the council's decisions of July 27, 2026 and admitted that the references to safety reasons were not supported by sufficient evidence. This is the second time in 2026 that the Disciplinary Board has overturned decisions by the IIHF Board to limit the participation of national teams. FCB does not agree with the new decision of the council. There is enough time left until the World Cup in Germany, which begins in May 2027, to solve all the organizational problems. The federation intends to protect the rights of Belarusian hockey and will soon determine specific legal measures, including the possibility of an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) based on the decisions of the IIHF bodies.
