Two tankers hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz and one of them, a supertanker, caught fire, IRNA reports. According to the Revolutionary Guards, the vessels followed an "unauthorized route" with their automatic identification system transmitters turned off, and attempted to pass secretly with the support of the US military. After the explosions both tankers stopped.
