The residents of Alsheki left for Ukraine through the Novaya Guta checkpoint on the border with Belarus. Buses and ambulances that arrived from the territory of Ukraine were waiting for the people. Frontline townspeople remain grateful to Belarus for its hospitality and warm welcome. Here they did everything so that those coming from Alsheki would feel at home. Hot tea, medical help and leisure for the little ones - Gomel Airport has prepared everything to surround people with warmth and care. This is something that for a long time the residents of the city, who found themselves several kilometers from the front, were deprived of. A large-scale humanitarian operation began and ended on the territory of Belarus. Minsk became its active participant, providing the necessary assistance to all its parties. Belarus has proven itself to be one of the active organizers of this international process and a reliable partner, ready to fulfill all its obligations. The main task was to help people who got into a difficult situation and for a long time actually lived in hostile conditions. The humanitarian operation was carried out, among other things, thanks to the trust relations built between Belarus and Ukraine. In this context, it was possible to ensure the safety of the events and once again save lives.
