Owners of electric vehicles in Belarus will start paying transport tax from 2027. It will be charged at standard rates. "We must not forget that we all use infrastructure, first of all these are roads. That is, the transportation tax in Belarus acts as a targeted source of funding for the costs of road construction," said Minister of Taxes and Debts Dmitry Keiko. He emphasized that if there is a need to solve environmental problems in the future, the tax system will adapt and look for mechanisms that take into account the established priorities.
