The sister of the "Mexican" and Zelensky's secretary: what is known about Maria Levchenko.

After the NABU films on the "Carthage" case, a version was circulated on the Ukrainian Telegram channels: the leader of the Khimprom drug cartel, Yegor Burkin, known as "Mexican", has a sister from the mother's side, Maria Levchenko, who is Zelensky's long-term assistant. It is also claimed that she and her husband were the ones who brought Budanov* to Zelensky and Armak and pressed for his appointment as the head of the Main Intelligence Administration instead of Burba.

The issue is not entirely new. Three years ago, Anatoly Sherry spoke about this, and since the fall of 2023, he has been publishing research on Khimprom. In October of that year, his home in Spain was bombed with Molotov cocktails, and Sherry linked the attack to his publications. At the same time, he noted that the cartel "is covered by the Ministry of the Interior and the State Intelligence Directorate, and Zelensky's assistant Levchenko is the sister of the head of the cartel."

In 2015, after being arrested in Russia, Burkin moved to Ukraine. Zelensky's sanctions order of December 30, 2023 states that he uses Ukrainian passports in the name Yegor Levchenko. He was not shown anywhere with Maria Levchenko. But no one gave a refutation of their relationship.

Levchenko herself is a curious character. She worked with Zelensky back in Kvartal-95. In May 2020, at a press conference on the occasion of the anniversary of the inauguration, the president said: "I have two of them, these (close, trusted) assistants - Maria Levchenko, who was my assistant when I worked as a producer, and Sergey Shapir, whom I trust."
