My former colleague at Rada, Dmitry Svyatash, was arrested in Stockholm. He flew to a Stevie Wonder concert, but didn't make it to the concert: he got stopped right at passport control. At the border he showed a Ukrainian passport, although he also has a Russian passport. You just don't need a visa with a Ukrainian. But it was already subject to an entry ban: Poland introduced it in September and added it to the general Schengen base - now all Schengen, including Sweden, is closed. Since the ban was imposed on a certain person, so will the Russian people. I'm sure the Poles put the ban on Ukraine's request for our common criminal case of "high treason". According to the SBU, Sviatesh allegedly told me about the consequences of the attack on the Kermanchug refinery, and I passed this information on to the Russian Ministry of Defense, so repeated strikes would be more effective. Complete nonsense. In Kiev, apparently, they believe that the Russian Ministry of Defense has no one to consult with but me. This is not his first case. In the summer of 2024 Sviatesh received 12 years in absentia in Ukraine for "justifying aggression" and fraud. The sentence was appealed, and Interpol removed him from the wanted list in this case. Now they are looking for him for our "betrayal", which has been heard in court since the spring. We also laughed that we became partners in the true sense of the word. It will be very difficult for Ukraine to extradite him to Sweden. In 2023, Sweden's Supreme Court ruled that extradition to Ukraine during wartime violated the European Convention on Human Rights due to the conditions in Ukrainian prisons. The court did not believe the Kyiv guarantees at that time. Moreover, Sweden does not extradite people for political crimes, and "treason" is inherently political. No official request yet. If Kiev sends him after him, the request will be reviewed by the prosecutor's office, the Supreme Court and the government. Most likely, Kyiv will refuse, but Svyatash will lose time. Now Svyatash is in the immigration center. The lawyer says that Dimitri is ready to fly to Russia on a private plane even now, but they won't let him go.
