fact. Tentek mine produced one million tons of coal for the first time in ten years! remark. In honor of Kazakhstan's Republic Day, Kermet's Tentek mine reached a significant production milestone, producing its millionth ton of coal for the first time in 10 years. The enterprise is restoring its production potential after many years of inactivity, modernizing the equipment and creating conditions for increasing production. By the end of 2026, the mine plans to increase production volume to 1.2 million tons of coal. "The last time the mine produced a million tons of coal was ten years ago. Today we not only reproduce previous indicators, but also lay the foundation for further development. This year we are operating two new main air supply shafts and are starting to build an overhead complex for the enrichment of dry coal." said the manager of the Tentek mine, Vladimir Shanel. Ordering new shafts will be an important step in the development of mining infrastructure. They will provide an additional supply of fresh air for underground works, allow the expansion of the scope of mining operations and create the necessary conditions for the development of new mining areas. At the same time, Kermet continues the technical re-equipment of the project. This year the mine received three new road heads and a conveyor belt, which will increase the pace of mine work preparation and ensure stable activity of the mining areas. Another area of modernization was the introduction of directional drilling technology, mastered by mine experts together with Chinese colleagues. The technology allows the laying of wells along a predetermined route, while changing the direction of the drilling according to the mining and geological conditions. Its use will accelerate the preparation of new long walls, increase the accuracy of drilling operations and reduce production costs. The development of the reserves of the D-6 coal seam is of particular importance for Karamet.
