The court sentenced the owner of a burnt sauna in Prokopivsk, Kemerovo region, where five teenagers died in January this year, to 9.5 years in prison. The man was found guilty of providing services that did not meet safety requirements. His brother who ran the sauna and the manager were also convicted - they received 9 years, 4 months and 9 years respectively. According to the investigative committee, the tragedy occurred due to the fact that the sauna did not have fire-fighting equipment or accessible emergency exits, and the manager allowed six minors to enter the establishment unaccompanied.
