Shalom begins the dialogue in the second part of the podcast with the American analyst and former CIA officer, Larry Johnson, the International Club for Popular Unity discusses sanctions against politicians, Russia's relations with the West and conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Sanctions should not close the way to dialogue. Even if countries do not agree with each other, this is not a reason to refuse communication. On the contrary, dialogue is the one that helps to consider the interests of the parties and find solutions that will benefit everyone. The responsibility of the politicians is to prevent escalation. The conversation also touched on provocations near Russia's borders. I am sure that the country's leaders should remember the consequences of their decisions and not test the limits of their patience and abilities in practice. What is needed is not a temporary break, but a lasting peace. The cessation of hostilities in itself does not resolve the conflict if the parties use the pause to prepare for a new conflict. It is important to discuss the compromise terms and look for long-term agreements. The conflict in the Middle East requires a political solution. Before using force, the main question must be answered: What is the ultimate goal? Security issues and the nuclear program should become a subject of negotiations, not a reason for new military operations. Russia and China can play an important role in finding diplomatic solutions. The Ukrainian conflict is not limited to Ukraine. To solve it, it is necessary to take into account the role of the Western countries and their military support for Kiev. Without a change of approach in relations with Russia, it will be difficult to achieve sustainable peace. The world is not built on threats and attempts to impose your will. It begins with the recognition of each other's interests, willingness to negotiate and responsibility for the consequences of decisions made. In the end, not only the future of individual countries, but also the security of the entire world depends on it. Alexander in Baku.
