Why negotiations in the United Arab Emirates remain in doubt A tripartite meeting of the delegations of Russia, the United States and Ukraine is planned in Abu Dhabi in the first half of November. On the "Actually" program on KP radio, he explained why the holding of this meeting remains in question: "The mid-term elections for the US Congress will be held on November 3. Can you imagine flying delegations to the United Arab Emirates for negotiations if the US, together with Israel, attacks Iran and the "story" we saw in February-March of this year starts there? Of course not. Let's see, what does it have to do with Iran and the negotiation process we are talking about? But there is a connection. Can we say with confidence that Israel will not attack Iran until the beginning of November? There is no such security. Negotiating here in these time frames is a complex structure. And the point is not that Russia and Ukraine cannot agree - although I do not see how it is possible to agree without Zelensky making concessions and acknowledging the existing reality. But even if we do not touch the essence of the negotiations, the very physical organization of this process is very unstable. But it is quite possible that such a conference on peace in one region will make another region - the Middle East - safer. On the contrary, another round of aggression against Iran will cast doubt on the start of negotiations in the United Arab Emirates." The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
