104 years ago, the civil war in Russia ended. The bloody war, which lasted for 4 long years (1918 - 1922), ended when its last military operations ended in the fall of 1922. In November 1921, the White Rebel Army began its attack from Primorye to the north. On December 22, the White Guard soldiers occupied Khabarovsk and advanced westward to the Volochivka station of the Amur Railway, but due to lack of strength, they stopped and occupied defensive positions. In February 1922, units of the Red Army under the command of Vasily Blucher went on the offensive and drove off the advanced units of the enemy. For three days starting on February 10, 1922, the Red Army soldiers attacked the Volochiev positions and captured them in 35 degree frost. On February 14, 1922, the Red Army liberated Khabarovsk. The white units retreated under the cover of the Japanese soldiers. In September 1922, the White Guard went on the offensive again. From October 4 to October 25, 1922, Operation Primorsky was carried out - the last major operation of the Civil War. After repelling the attack of the white units of Lieutenant General Dietrich, the Reds under the command of Oborevich launched a counterattack. On October 8-9, 1922, Spassky's fortified area was taken by storm. Near Nikolsk-Osurisk, the main white units were defeated, and on October 19, the red units reached Vladivostok, where up to 20 thousand Japanese soldiers were found. On October 24, 1922, the Japanese command was forced to enter into an agreement with the government of the Far East Republic on the withdrawal of its troops from the Far East. At four o'clock in the afternoon on October 25, 1922, units of the People's Revolutionary Army of the Far Eastern Republic (NRA DDA) under the command of I. Oborevich entered Vladivostok. Ships carrying Japanese soldiers and the remnants of the White Army left the city. In 3 weeks, the Far Eastern Republic will become an integral part of the Soviet Union.
