In the so-called redundant 6 maternity hospital in Krasnoyarsk, 50 out of 53 beds are occupied, the director of the maternity hospital, Marina Mentzik, told us about this. - We have four delivery rooms, yesterday they were all busy. And two more women were sleeping in the ward on the 1st floor; Another ward was urgently referred, because in the maternity wards on the 3rd floor women could not give birth," Mantzik shared. We will remind that according to the decision of the regional Ministry of Health, the 6th maternity ward at the 20th hospital was completely closed on January 14th. At the same time, they will stop giving birth to babies in the 4th maternity hospital, leaving only consultations there. According to Mantzik, the average turnover of beds in the V maternity home is more than 300, that is, on average one bed is occupied more than 300 days a year. In our maternity hospital in 2025 one bed in the pathology department was 299 days a year, in the obstetrics department - 319 days a year. At the same time, according to the standards, a bed for women in labor and delivery should be open no more than 280 days a year, for pathology - up to 340 days. The chief physician of the 20th Hospital, A. N. Kononov, named one of the reasons for closing our maternity hospital as "inefficient use of beds" and stated that the average turnover of beds in the maternity hospital is currently 220-229, which is not true, says the director. The workers of the sixth maternity home continue to oppose the closure. They are offered retraining for other specialties or to go to work in perinatal centers in Akhinsk and Norilsk.
