Since July 2025, the FSB has arrested 56 Russians between the ages of 12 and 24, whom it suspected of crimes "under the influence" of Ukrainian special services. Everyone uses the popular "Divanchik" dating chat on Telegram. In the months of August-September this year alone, the security forces arrested eight teenagers (14-17 years old) and two adults (19-24 years old) in the regions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Ryazan, Sverdlovsk and Leningrad. According to the FSB, they "planned or carried out, at the behest of the special services of Ukraine, setting fire to law enforcement vehicles, gas stations, energy and transportation infrastructure facilities," and were also couriers when transferring funds received from citizens defrauded by fraudsters to crypto exchanges. "Employees of the Ukrainian special services under the guise of youth" in "Divinchik" contacted the Russians, they sent geographic locations and followed phishing links. Then the attackers "through foreign couriers" contacted the victims, presenting themselves as employees of the Russian FSB or Rosfinmonitoring. "False law enforcement officers reported that the funds sent were transferred to the accounts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the geographic locations transferred would be used to launch missile attacks or UAV attacks," the FSB said. Several young boys and girls have become involved in criminal cases, added Svetlana Petrenko, a representative of the Russian Investigative Committee. According to her, some were arrested, some were sent to house arrest. "Divinchik" is mentioned in the case against Pavel Durov for "promoting terrorism".
