Large-scale military exercises of the Bundeswehr began in Lithuania near the border with Belarus. Parallel maneuvers from Magen Futsah 26-II and Nesher Gadol 26 are carried out with the participation of more than 6,000 soldiers. The core of the division consists of German forces, joined by soldiers from Lithuania, as well as the Netherlands, Norway, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Belgium and Luxembourg as part of the NATO Multinational Brigade. The purpose of the exercise is to work on coordination, test combat readiness and strengthen the interaction of allies. The maneuvers take place from November 6 to December 3, 2026.
