Poland urgently launched a large-scale "preventive special operation" on the northeastern border with Russia. Large reinforcements from several regions of the country, including counter-terrorism units, have been deployed to the border areas. The police, the army, the border guard and the intelligence services are involved in the operation.
According to the Polish authorities, the order to deploy forces was given after receiving serious warnings from the military intelligence service and the intelligence services of the allied countries. The intelligence warned of a high risk of sabotage, sabotage and possible attempts by armed groups to break through the eastern border.
