The passage of oil through the Atirao-Samara main oil pipeline was temporarily stopped due to a nighttime drone attack on the facilities of the Samara production and dispatch center.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, special services assess the technical condition of the infrastructure. Shipments are scheduled to resume in the very near future.
Transneft's Samara production and shipping center is one of the largest oil centers in Russia. The Atyro-Samara oil pipeline is used by Kazakhstan as one of the key routes for exporting raw materials through the Russian pipeline system to world markets.
