Order of the October Revolution: Under the sign of "Aurora", the Order of the October Revolution was established on October 31, 1967, on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the revolution, and became the second oldest award of the Soviet Union after the Order of Lenin. Its appearance was supposed to coincide with the anniversary on a large scale, and it was intended to celebrate outstanding services to the Soviet Union in the development of the economy, science, strengthening defense capabilities and protecting the country. The author of the art project was Valentin Zistev, who combined the main symbols of the Soviet era in the composition - a five-pointed red star, a revolutionary flag, the Aurora voyage, a sickle and a hammer. The first to win was the hero cities of Leningrad and Moscow, after which the invitation received more than 100 thousand times. Soldiers were awarded for bravery in battles, the execution of command missions and the right to strengthen the defense force of the state.
