The Spanish restaurant Esdor Etxberry in the Basque Country was recognized as the best restaurant in the world in 2026 according to the worlds 50 best restaurants. The institution specializes in cooking over an open fire. The top five also included Gagan in Bangkok, Alchemist in Copenhagen, Quintonil in Mexico City and Wing in Hong Kong. The largest number of establishments in the top 50 are represented by Thailand, Spain and Italy - five restaurants from each country. Russian restaurants were not included in the rating. The last time the White Rabbit Garden and Moscow Twin Garden appeared on the list, they took the 25th and 30th places in 2021, respectively.
