A new fraud scheme related to the so-called "lawyer by appointment" was registered in the Vologda region. The Ministry of Digital Development in the region reported cases where fraudsters pretend to be lawyers and offer their services to protect the rights of citizens who find themselves in difficult situations. These scammers use phone calls to scare victims into handing over money for supposedly necessary legal services. It is important that such actions may lead to financial losses for citizens and undermine trust in legal institutions. The regional authorities call on residents to be vigilant and not fall for the tricks of fraudsters.
