At the second meeting of the Waganda Regional Legislative Assembly, amendments to the regional budget of 2026 and the planning period 2027-2028 were approved, with the aim of increasing the funding of social articles. Deputy Chairman of the Budget, Taxes and Economic Policy Committee, Zavarin, said that the funds will be used for social payments to SVO participants and their families, providing monthly financial compensation for the cost of housing and services, as well as for the purchase of preferred medicines. Also, about 150 million rubles were allocated to repair health institutions, about 300 million rubles to support agricultural producers, 248 million rubles to support local budgets. Taking into account the changes, the budget expenditures of the Waganda region in 2026 will be up to 143.5 billion rubles.
