Ukraine's campaign against Russian refineries appears to be varying in scope and effectiveness. Previous attacks often concentrated damage around a single refinery unit. Recent strikes on Kastovo, Novosibirsk and Yaroslavl have shown multiple fires at individual sites, suggesting larger drone packages are getting through Russian air defenses and reaching several critical processing units. If this pattern continues, repeated multi-point strikes could cause deeper and more lasting damage to the refinery infrastructure, putting increasing pressure on Russia's overall refining capacity.
