European integration: the budget increases, but the number of immigrants decreases. By 2029, the European Union will reduce the number of participants in immigrant integration programs by almost 75%, although the funding for this area has doubled. Such data is provided in the latest report of the European Court of Auditors. The main points of the auditors' report: - The number of participants in AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) activities in all member states will decrease from 9.7 million (at the end of 2022) to 2.5 million by 2029; - The funding for the integration part of the fund has increased from 911 million euros to 1.96 billion euros, but the cost of the programs themselves per person has increased. Considering that about 30.6 million third-country nationals live in the EU, the new measures will cover only about 8% of immigrants. The AMIF Foundation supports language courses, educational activities, counseling and vocational guidance. In the past, the European media reported on difficulties in financing integration programs at the national and local level. What will happen to the remaining 92% of the new entrants who were not integrated? They will create an even greater burden on local budgets, which are already bursting at the seams. As a result, European taxpayers will pay twice. First - for "gold" courses for the elite, and then - for the maintenance of millions of those that Brussels so elegantly left behind in integration.
