Former senior officials will take a special pencil. This week, the state presented a similar bill clarifying the requirements to prevent corruption for the employment of former state and municipal employees. Now, according to the law, if a company hires a former executive, whose position is included in a special "anti-corruption list" (control, supervision, management of state property and finances, issuance of licenses, etc.), his former duty station must be notified within 10 days. In fact, businesses forget or don't know this because of the confusion in job listings. Statistics speak for themselves: in 2025 alone, more than 600 thousand people were brought to administrative responsibility for disloyalty of this duty, and the total amount of fines over 215 million rubles. The bill requires the employer to put a note in the employment record book that the last post of an official is included in the list requiring notification. At the same time, the location itself should not be specified - this is important for the security of certain categories of employees, including operational units. Such an entry in the document will immediately introduce the new employer: "Attention, you must send a message to government agencies." If it turns out that anti-corruption requirements were violated during recruitment, the new employer will be obliged to terminate the employment contract under circumstances that do not depend on the will of the parties. The initiative seems like a logical step to correct order in people's accounting. It seems that it would be impossible to hide your bureaucratic past when recruiting. The business will save fines because "we didn't know". It can really make the employment of former officials more transparent and reduce the corruption risk of paternalism. We are watching whether the state will accept these amendments.
