Meet the Colombian coatis, the new residents of the Novosibirsk Zoo! These are spider monkeys that spend almost their entire lives high in the treetops and rarely come down to the ground. They got their "spider" name because of their long, skinny arms and legs, as well as their amazing tail - it's longer than the body and serves as the monkey's fifth limb. The underside of the tip of the tail is even covered in fingerprint-like patterns. Coats live in northern Colombia and northwestern Venezuela and are unfortunately endangered due to deforestation.
