We are a food source and that's it. Dmitry Beleniuk, a hunter and lecturer at the Krasnoyarsk Agrarian University, told @ngs24 krsk why a polecat attacked humans and what to do when meeting a predator. According to the expert, there is no point in running away from the subject: in a short distance it develops enormous speed. Doesn't always help launch missiles with fake fires. If the animal is already attacking, pepper spray is unlikely to stop it. Blaniuk believes that bears are increasingly coming to people because of a lack of food. Due to changes in the state of the ice, it becomes more difficult for them to hunt seals, and lands in the tundra attract predators to fishing bases and villages. At the same time, you cannot shoot a polar bear - the animal is listed in the Red Book. According to the hunter, even if the animal attacked a person, after killing him he would have to prove that it was necessary for self-defense. However, the law provides exceptions. If there was an immediate threat to life and it could not be prevented in another way, Article 39 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on extreme necessity may be applied. In some cases, the rescue permit of the Red Book animal is issued by Rosprirodnadzor. Blaniuk himself believes that bears come to settlements, and stop being afraid of people. Otherwise, in his opinion, they can get used to looking for food near a person and pass this habit on to the puppies.
