Residents of new buildings on the site of the combine plant complained about fences around their houses. A young man living in house No. 110B on Dobrovinsky Street spoke about the problem at a meeting between Mayor Sergey Vershchagin and residents of Zheleznodorozhny district. According to him, the new buildings were really isolated. The houses are located between the center and Zheleznodorozhny district, but it is normal to walk from them neither to the center, nor to the station, nor to the embankment. There are fences all around, and it is not clear how long they will stand. Vershgin explained that there are legal disputes over the land of the former combine plant. He hopes they will be completed in the first half of 2027. For now, the mayor's office is negotiating with a management company that can service the paths and approaches to the houses that have already been built. The area of the former combine factory was bought by an entrepreneur in 2016-2017 and he began building residences there, and since 2022 the attorney's office has been trying to return the plots to the state. In March 2025, the Supreme Court sided with the developer, but in December the attorney's office filed a new lawsuit, and in March 2026, the court again returned the land to the state.
