In one of the regions of Altai, a special regime was extended. In the Torochetsky district of the Republic of Altai, the regime of high alert was extended. This was reported to the local administration.
Now, due to the ongoing threat of bear attacks, it will remain in effect until November 19, 2026. A curfew will remain in effect in the area. Between the hours of 21:00 and 08:00, local residents and tourists are prohibited from being outside residences and social infrastructure facilities without an official need. In the schools, in turn, lessons were reduced to 35 minutes. The first shift will start learning from 08:45, and the second - from 14:00. To reduce the risk of attracting wild animals, residents of the area are advised not to leave biological waste near their homes, in the field or in places accessible to animals. People who encounter a bear or notice its tracks near a populated area are advised to report it immediately to 112 and not try to figure it out on their own.
