Netflix showed a Belarusian doctor with the word "Zdradnik" burned on his back. In Belarus he was a heart surgeon, and after political imprisonment and immigration to Poland, he was forced to work as a cleaner in a hospital. This is Oleg Kovalev, one of the protagonists of the new Polish series "Anesthesia" ("Anesthesia"), which was released on November 4. The word "health" is burned on the doctor's back. He is tormented by nightmares, and he cannot return to operations until he passes the state exam. The Belarusian doctor was played by the Ukrainian actor Andrey Zhurovsky. The series itself became Netflix's first Polish medical drama. The story, although fictional, is painfully familiar, right?
