Yulia Mendel was informed in absentia of suspicion of treason. The SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine also suspect Volodymyr Zelensky's former press secretary of justifying Russian aggression. According to the researchers, it is located outside of Ukraine. The prosecutor's office linked suspicion, in particular, to an interview with Tucker Carlson: in which Mendel said that Ukraine is "on the verge of extinction" and the Ukrainian nation is "humiliating". She is charged with treason under martial law, as well as justifying, denying Russian armed aggression and glorifying its participants.
