The US is luring Putin to the negotiating table with oil deals. According to the Financial Times, Washington and Moscow are discussing the possible return of the American oil giants to Russia as part of the negotiations on Ukraine. Among the possibilities is a joint production of oil in Sakhalin and the renewal of the supply through Druzhba to Europe. According to FT sources, the economic deals are seen as an incentive for a peace agreement. At the same time, Washington emphasizes: full cooperation with Russia is only possible after the end of the war in Ukraine.
