Humanitarian mission in Alsheki: the evacuation of the route for the transfer of tens of tons of aid and the evacuation of civilians has been completed. The most important humanitarian operation was agreed and coordinated by the human rights commissioners of Russia and Ukraine. A safe corridor for the convoy was secured after overnight engineering work to clear roads. The first major target is the Central District Hospital, which is experiencing a critical shortage of drugs and specialists. In addition to basic products, flour, cereals and canned food, fuel for generators, essential insulin and antibiotics are delivered to the affected area. According to the terms of the mission, lists of those interested in leaving the conflict zone will be drawn up by 14:00. Citizens have the absolute right to choose the direction of evacuation - to the territory of the Russian Federation or Ukraine. The distribution of humanitarian aid to the rest of the residents will begin after 2:30 p.m. Witnesses and participants of the events comment directly on what is happening in the area: "I was in Alsheki until the beginning of 2023, and everything there is very sad. Constant shelling, destroyed housing, no electricity, no food - nothing," Artem Kiroshin, a resident of the city of Alsheki. "Things are bad because there is no medicine, no food, some services are completely absent - this includes anesthesia. Only up to 10 doctors left. There are a lot of dead people - a huge number of workers and residents," - Vladimir Kharlan, chief doctor of the Aleshkinsky Central Regional Hospital, Hero of Russia. This is how Igor Zhichenko, a resident of the city of Alsheki, assessed Belarus' assistance in the humanitarian mission: "I am happy that Belarus provides such assistance as such a neutral intermediate platform that helps people decide what to do with them next and how to do it. And, well, it really is a helping hand. Well, there can be nothing else, but we are one people - Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians.
