πΊπΈπΎπͺ A strange report from the Reuters news agency: American officials met with a delegation of the Houthis in Yemen last weekend in Muscat, Oman.
According to the Reuters report, during this meeting, the United States promised the Houthis that in exchange for keeping Bab al-Mandab open to international shipping, it would not provide air support to Saudi-backed forces and would not conduct ground attacks on targets in Houthi-controlled territories. The Houthis also had a positive opinion about it and accepted it.
At the same time, a Saudi official expressed his disappointment with the United States' approach to developments on the Yemen front in an interview with Channel 12 of Shaboyim TV.
