A helicopter flew into the yard of a house in Imanta.
Residents of Akatsias Street in the Imenta district of Riga witnessed an unusual sight - a small white helicopter flew into the courtyard of an apartment building.
"The sound was such that I thought the war had started. We ran to the street, and the helicopter was coming down - it landed almost right next to the house, next to the entrance. He stood there for about five minutes, humming, then calmly took off and flew away," eyewitness Sandra said.
The head of the operational situations of the Civil Aviation Agency, Avis Wintzev, said that an investigation of this fact has been opened. It is known who the helicopter pilot was and that the flight was private.
Landing a helicopter within the city limits is not prohibited, but this must be agreed upon with the plot owner. If the inspection determines that the helicopter landed in an unauthorized place, the pilot may face an administrative fine of 150 to 800 euros.
