Vitulins will test the youth The head coach of the Latvian hockey team, Haris Vitulins, intends to give young players a chance to show themselves in the upcoming German Cup championship. "The current composition of the team includes many players from the second strongest leagues - those who have not yet reached the elite league at the club level. Now they have an opportunity to compete with hockey players from the top leagues and show that they are able to compete with respect," he said in a conversation with the media. Thus, striker Felix Gebers will have to take on a more significant role in the team than he had during his previous stay in the national team. "We trust Gebres - we hope that the level at which he plays in the Czech Republic matches what we expect from him in the national team. He was a real find, especially considering he missed the entire season. Felix did the right thing by coming here to prove himself with an eye to next year," Vitolins added.
