The Freedom Monument is already insured for 1.5 million euros by the Baltic insurance company BTA (BTA) and this year Riga is similarly awarded an insurance policy for the Freedom Monument in the amount of 1.5 million euros, BTA representatives said. BTA insured the Freedom Monument for 23 years. For many years, the sum insured was also 1.5 million euros. This year the insurance coverage was expanded: the policy includes protection against new risks that were not previously covered by insurance (usually drones & #33). On November 10, at 10:00 a.m., BTA board member Evia Matveya will present the insurance policy to the Mayor of Riga Virstors Kleinbergs ("Progressive") at the Freedom Monument. @news lv.
