Last Friday, a man, an Indian citizen, was found unconscious on the street in Riga. He is now hospitalized, his condition is serious. SPKC is conducting an epidemiological investigation, during which people in contact with the case will be identified and notified. The people who worked with him in the same room are at the greatest risk, while the risk for clients is low, SPKC explained. Latvia ranks third in the European Union in terms of the prevalence of tuberculosis, and the disease is often detected in late stages.
