Renault developed the driverless front-end platform Renault, together with the Belgian company John Cockerill, introduced the electric front-end platform with remote control. The development is intended for military, logistical and rescue missions, including work in dangerous conditions for humans. The platform is equipped with two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a steering rear axle. The cruising range is about 400 km, the loading capacity is up to 1 ton. The electric drive system also ensures low noise levels when driving. The French armed forces are involved in the development, but they plan to use Fourfront not only in the military field. Possible missions include cargo delivery, emergency response, civil defense and work in high risk areas.
